Sofia Karaffa-Korbut
(1924-1996)
She was a graphic artist, illustrator and created original illustrations for about 60 books by Ukrainian and foreign writers, among which Taras Shevchenko’s “Kobzar” and Lesya Ukrainka’s “Forest Song”. Combining elements of modern art and folk art, Sofia was one of the most talented and original artist in Ukraine.
