Sofia Karaffa-Korbut

She was a graphic artist and illustrator who created original illustrations for some 60 books by Ukrainian and foreign writers, among them Taras Shevchenko’s “Kobzar” and Lesya Ukrainka’s “Forest Song.”

Combining elements of modern and folk art, Sofia was one of the most talented and original artists in Ukraine.
