Anna Sharay

(1921-2013)

Ukrainian ceramic artist. The creation of ceramics, traditional in form and modern in content, became a hallmark of her creativity. Almost all of her works are based on folk ornament. Its creatively interpreted variations can be found both in the decoration of tableware items and in the design of decorative panels. Another interesting direction of the artist’s creativity is the execution of decorative elements for the decoration of architectural structures: the design of the decoration of the metro stations “Obolon”, “Chernigivska”, “Nyvky”. As a co-author, she participated in the interior design of the restaurant “Metro”, the hotel “Rus”, the House of Cinema in Kyiv.
