Lyudmila Mazur

(1947-2000)

The artist’s creative laboratory was amazingly simple: paper and scissors – cutting and cutting out, and sometimes Lyudmila simply tore the paper with her hands. It was the ancient carving technique that became the basis of her artistic craft. Lyudmila called her landscapes “illustrated thoughts”. The source of her imaginative world was Slavic mythology in a broad sense, customs, ceremonies, beliefs of the Ukrainian community, traditions of national folk art.
