(1840-1912)
Maria Ivanova-Raevska was the first woman in russian empire from the Kharkiv region who received a degree in arts in 1868 and opened her own art school. The school was a charity for the poor and paid for those who have money. For students, Maria Raevska-Ivanova wrote and published two education books. Her estate and the grave of the artist have been lost into the mist of time and there are very few pictures and photos of the artist.
