Sofia Yablonska
(1907-1971)
She was a travel writer, photographer, journalist. In the late 1920s she emigrated to Paris, became a photo reporter and traveled the world. Her career would take her to Morocco, China, Java, Bali, Tahiti, Sri Lanka, Laos, Cambodia, Australia, the United States, Canada. Later she published 3 books dedicated her travels around the world. She one of the first women documentary cinematographers.
