Lyubov Panchenko

Lyubov created works closely tied to Ukrainian folk art — clothing sketches, decorative painting, fabric appliqués and graphic works. During the Soviet era her art was neither exhibited nor printed.

Yet the embroidery patterns she developed appeared in “Soviet Woman,” the main women’s magazine of the time, and were copied by craftswomen across the Soviet Union.
