(1858-1884)

She is an artist from Ukraine, who conquered Paris at the end of the 19th century, and after her early death, her published diaries gained immense popularity. An active participant in the suffragette movement, she published an article in a magazine under the pseudonym Polina Orelli about women artists who did not have the opportunity to study and exhibit their work on an equal basis with men, and about the double standards of morality in society at that time. A year after the death of the artist, her large personal exhibition was held in Paris.
