(1982-1949)
Is considered a representative of European Cubism, Futurism, Ukrainian avant-garde, one of the founders of the Art Deco style. While working on her portrait, I unexpectedly discovered information that the artist began her creative journey in Kyiv and sought inspiration in Ukrainian folk art. This influenced the images in her paintings and the bright color palette. Her contemporaries mentioned that Alexandra specially sought out folk embroidery and weaving items in the villages, they decorated her home and created an atmosphere that helped to create, modernize designs and build something new on this basis.
