In May 2022, Oleksandra found itself under rubble after a Russian missile hit the village of Zatoka in Odesa. Later, doctors had to amputate her leg. The seven-year-old gymnast now, after rehabilitation, continues to engage in rhythmic gymnastics and participates in competitions.
