In the memoirs of the avant-garde artist, it is written that she loves bright colors, because they’re the colors of her childhood, the colors of Ukraine. The Artist was born in Odessa, but when she was 5 years old she became an orphan and moved to live with her uncle. She received a good education and traveled a lot in Europe, visited museums, and decided to connect her life with art. In the end, she moved to live in Paris. In 1963, Sonya donated her works to the Louvre, and became the first artist whose personal exhibition was held in this museum.
